Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of medarenaevents.com and related subdomains (the “Platform”) operated by MedArena. By creating an account, registering for an event, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, legally able to enter into a contract, and — where you register as a healthcare professional — hold a valid licence in your jurisdiction. Organisers must be duly authorised to offer the events they list.

2. Account and security

• You are responsible for accurate registration details and for keeping your credentials confidential.
• You must notify MedArena immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, applicable law, or accreditation rules.

3. Role of MedArena

MedArena is a marketplace connecting healthcare professionals with events and courses listed by independent organisers and educators (“Organisers”). Unless explicitly stated, MedArena is not the organiser, accreditor, or primary provider of CME/CPD content.

4. Event registration and payments

• Prices, schedules, and credits shown on event pages are supplied by Organisers. You are responsible for reviewing them before registering.
• Payments are processed by third-party providers. Chargebacks or disputes must be raised with MedArena before the event start date.
• Refunds, transfers, and cancellations follow the policy stated on each event page unless otherwise required by law.

5. CME/CPD credits and certificates

Accreditation, credit values, and certificate issuance are the responsibility of the relevant Organiser and accrediting body. MedArena facilitates delivery but does not award or guarantee credits.

6. User content

You retain ownership of content you submit (profile text, images, messages). You grant MedArena a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate the Platform. You represent that you have all rights to submit such content.

7. Prohibited conduct

• No unlawful, misleading, defamatory, discriminatory, or harassing content.
• No attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or circumvent security.
• No impersonation of other professionals, Organisers, or MedArena staff.
• No misrepresentation of credits, credentials, or accreditation.

8. Intellectual property

The Platform (including code, design, logos, brand, and compiled data) is owned by MedArena or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without written permission.

9. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Content on MedArena is for educational and informational purposes only and is not medical advice. Event information is supplied by third-party Organisers and may change without notice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MedArena will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenues, arising from your use of the Platform. Our aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the amounts paid by you to MedArena in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold MedArena harmless against claims arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, or your infringement of any third-party right.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for breach of these Terms. You may stop using the Platform at any time; provisions that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Dubai, UAE, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the Platform. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
