Shaima Al Khaldi

Shaima Al Khaldi is the Director of the Scientific Support Department at Aspetar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital. She joined Aspetar in September 2010 and has more than 10 years of experience as a clinical and sports dietitian. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Food Science and Nutrition from the College of Science at Qatar University and a Sports Nutrition Diploma from the International Olympic Committee. Before joining Aspetar, she worked for six years as an adult and paediatric patient dietitian at Hamad Medical Corporation and also participated in the Leadership and Talent Management Project by the Executive Office of His Highness the Personal Representative of the Emir.

At Aspetar, she has worked as a Sports and Clinical Dietitian and subsequently assumed leadership of the Scientific Support Department. According to Aspetar, her work focuses on supporting high-performance athletes through an international team of specialists in areas including physiology, psychology, performance nutrition and podiatry.
