Prof. Mohamed Mabrouk is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Minimal Access
Reproductive Surgeon with international expertise in endometriosis and advanced
laparoscopic surgery. His clinical and academic work focuses on the diagnosis and
surgical management of complex endometriosis, with a strong emphasis on minimally
invasive techniques and multidisciplinary patient care.
He currently works across leading tertiary referral centres in the United Kingdom, where
he is involved in the management of complex endometriosis cases and advanced
minimally invasive gynaecological surgery. He also holds an academic appointment as
Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Alexandria University, Egypt, contributing to
medical education, research, and specialist training.
Prof. Mabrouk is Past President of the European Endometriosis League (EEL) and plays a
leading role in advancing international collaboration, education, and standards in
endometriosis care. He has been instrumental in developing specialist endometriosis
services and supporting the growth of multidisciplinary care pathways across Europe and
beyond.
He is widely recognised for his contributions to surgical innovation in endometriosis,
reproductive surgery, and fertility-sparing techniques. His academic output includes
numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and invited lectures at major
international conferences in gynaecology and endometriosis surgery.
Prof. Mabrouk is actively involved in global professional societies in minimally invasive
gynaecological surgery and is a frequent speaker and educator at international
congresses. His work is dedicated to improving surgical outcomes, advancing education,
and promoting high-quality, evidence-based care for women with endometriosis.
