Prof. Luis Alencar Biurrum Borba

Prof. Luis Alencar Biurrum Borba is a senior Brazilian neurosurgeon and academic leader with extensive leadership experience in national, regional and international neurosurgical organizations. He is Professor in the Division of Neurosurgery at the Federal University of Paraná and has served as Neurosurgeon-in-Chief at several major hospitals in Curitiba, including Mackenzie Evangelical University Hospital, Nossa Senhora das Graças Hospital and Complexo Hospitalar do Trabalhador-CENEPAR.

His professional career has included major leadership positions within international neurosurgical organizations. He served as President of the Latin American Federation of Neurosurgical Societies and as Chairman of the Education & Training Committee of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies. He has also been involved with the World Academy of Neurological Surgeons and the World Academy of Neurosurgical Societies. His extensive leadership portfolio reflects a career devoted not only to clinical neurosurgery but also to professional development and international neurosurgical education.
