Dr. Jodi Mindell is a Professor of Psychology and Director of Graduate Psychology at Saint Joseph’s University and the Associate Director of the Sleep Center at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She is also an adjunct professor of Pediatrics (Psychology) at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Mindell received her Ph.D. from the University of Albany and completed her internship at Brown University School of Medicine. Dr. Mindell is the Chair of the Advisory Board of the Pediatric Sleep Council.
Dr. Mindell has written extensively on pediatric sleep disorders with over 130 publications and over 500 presentations at national and international conferences. She is the author of Sleeping Through the Night: How Infants, Toddlers, and Their Parents Can Get a Good Night’s Sleep (HarperCollins) and co-author of A Clinical Guide to Pediatric Sleep: Diagnosis and Management of Sleep Problems (Lippincott Williams & Wilkins).
Dr. Mindell has been an associate editor for the journal Sleep and on the editorial board of Behavioral Sleep Medicine. She is on the advisory board of Parents magazine. Dr. Mindell also has been on the Board of Directors of the National Sleep Foundation, a foundation established to educate the public about sleep and sleep disorders, and the Sleep Research Society.
Dr. Mindell is the recipient of the Mary A. Carskadon Outstanding Educator Award of the Sleep Research Society.
