Prof. Henry W. Lim

Prof. Henry W. Lim is an internationally recognized dermatologist specializing in photodermatology, phototherapy, vitiligo, photosensitivity and pigmentary disorders, particularly in patients with skin of color. He is affiliated with Henry Ford Health in Detroit, where his current roles include Program Director for Dermatology Research and the Photomedicine Fellowship; he previously served as Chair of the Department of Dermatology.

He has had a major influence on the development of modern photodermatology and has published more than 700 scientific articles and edited 11 textbooks. His research has particularly advanced understanding of phototherapy, photoprotection, visible light and pigmentary diseases.
