Prof. Dr. Salah Balaky holds a PhD in Molecular Microbiology from Durham University, UK. His research focuses on biosensing technologies and CRISPR/Cas systems for pathogen detection.
He has served as the Head of the Medical Microbiology Department (2018-2023) and as the Director of the Career Development Center (2016-2021) at Hawler Medical University.
