Ms. Julia Mora

Ms. Julia Mora, MSHSA, BSN, is the International Director of Healthcare Quality and Certification at the American Heart Association (AHA). Her work focuses on improving healthcare quality and patient outcomes through evidence-based clinical standards, hospital certification, quality-improvement programs and healthcare systems transformation. The Abu Dhabi Department of Health independently confirms her AHA international quality and certification role.

She has extensive experience in cardiovascular and stroke quality improvement, including the implementation of the AHA's Get With The Guidelines programs. Earlier in her AHA career, she held leadership positions in Quality & Systems Improvement, and she continues to work internationally with hospitals and health systems on improving adherence to clinical standards and certification requirements.

Her work spans cardiovascular care, stroke systems, hospital quality, clinical data and performance measurement, accreditation/certification, and health-system transformation. In 2026, she also co-authored research in the Journal of the American Heart Association examining implementation of the Get With The Guidelines coronary artery disease program across hospitals in Mexico.
