Mr. Khalid Ali Al Mawlawi is a senior Qatari executive with more than 20 years of experience in organizational transformation, talent management, strategic planning, and operational leadership. He currently serves as Acting Director General of Aspetar, having previously served as its Chief Operating Officer.
Before joining Aspetar's senior leadership, he served as Deputy Director General at the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, where he played a major role in the planning and execution of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, particularly in operational readiness, workforce management, and organizational integration.
He also held a senior role at Qatar Foundation, where he led major human-resources initiatives, including the harmonization of compensation and benefits and development of employee-retention strategies.
His leadership experience also extends into sports administration. He has been involved with major sporting events including the 15th Asian Games and the World Indoor Athletics Championships, and he serves as President of the Qatar Volleyball Association.
He holds an Executive MBA from Plymouth University and completed executive education at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
