Prof. Mohamed M.K. Badr-El-Dine is a senior otologist, neurotologist and skull-base surgeon with an academic career spanning Egypt and Oman. He is a Professor of Otolaryngology at Alexandria University and has been associated with Sultan Qaboos University in Oman. His areas of expertise include otology, neurotology, endoscopic surgery, cochlear implantation and lateral skull-base surgery.
His academic background includes research experience at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where he worked in hearing research, including experimental models related to Ménière’s disease. He is also a founding member and former president of the International Working Group on Endoscopic Ear Surgery.
