Johnny Awwad

Johnny T. Awwad, MD, FACS, HCLD/TS (ABB)

Dr. Awwad is Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at Weill Cornell Medicine. He serves as Executive Chair of Women’s Services and Division Chief of Reproductive Medicine at Sidra Medicine. He is also the Director of the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship program and serves as the Chief Scientific Officer of the Middle East Fertility Society.

Previously, he served as the Founding Chief of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and Medical Director of the Haifa Idriss Fertility Center at the American University of Beirut Medical Center.

Dr. Awwad completed his clinical fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Massachusetts General Hospital – Harvard Medical School and is an alumnus and scholar of the Harvard Macy Institute for Postgraduate Medical Education. He is a past president of the Middle East Fertility Society and a recipient of numerous honors, including Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society membership, multiple STAR Awards from the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and Sigma Xi Honor Society induction. He has more than 130 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters.
