About

Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University, and a Consultant Vascular Neurologist at Tawam Hospital in Al Ain, UAE. His clinical practice is based at Tawam Hospital, which serves as a regional stroke center for Al Ain. His professional focus includes vascular neurology, acute stroke care, and secondary stroke prevention, with research interests in stroke-related clinical projects.

Dr. Al Kuwaiti completed his medical training at United Arab Emirates University before undertaking his adult neurology residency at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, which he completed in 2016. He subsequently completed acute stroke clinical training in 2017 and a Stroke-Net Fellowship in 2018 at the University of Minnesota in the United States.

He has been involved in stroke-related professional and educational activities in the UAE. His committee work has included participation in the Department of Health Stroke Committee and the SEHA Stroke Task Force Committee, and he chairs the National Institute of Health Subspecialty (Emirates Board) Neurology Committee. He is also involved in stroke research collaborations involving UAE University and Sheikh Khalifa Stroke Institute, particularly in areas related to acute stroke and secondary prevention.

Dr. Al Kuwaiti has also held leadership roles in regional neurology conferences. He served as Conference President of the Abu Dhabi Brain Conference and has been involved in the organizing and scientific committees of regional stroke and neurology conferences.
