Dr. Manoela D. Martins

Dr. Manoela Domingues Martins is an internationally recognized expert in oral medicine, pathology, and laser applications in dentistry and healthcare. She is a Professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and Director of the Laser in Dentistry and Health Clinic (ELOS). Her work focuses on translational research, clinical applications of laser therapy, and oncology patient care, with a special interest in photobiomodulation, oral mucositis management, and pain control. She has over 400 scientific publications in high-impact journals and has been Recognized World's Top 2% Scientists according to the Stanford University-Elsevierin 2023 and 2024. Dr. Martins is an active member of the World Workshop of Oral Medicine (WWOM), contributing to international guidelines and advancements in oral healthcare. Additionally, she serves as a faculty member for the Laser Workshop at the American Academy of Oral Medicine (AAOM), where she trains clinicians in laser applications for soft tissue management, pain control, and regenerative therapies. Dr. Martins is dedicated to bridging the gap between research and clinical practice, training the next generation of dentists in laser therapy, oral pathology, and evidence-based dentistry.
