Dr. Majid Aziz

Dr. Majid Aziz is a pediatric neurologist and epileptologist specializing in complex neurological disorders in children. His areas of expertise include complex epilepsy, epilepsy surgery, EEG, movement disorders, neuroinflammatory conditions, cerebrovascular disease, neurogenetic disorders, headaches, sleep disorders, and ketogenic-diet management. Sheikh Khalifa Medical City currently lists him as a Consultant Physician in Pediatric Neurology with approximately 20 years of experience.

He completed his pediatric and child-neurology training in the United Kingdom, followed by a fellowship in movement disorders at Evelina Children's Hospital in London and another fellowship in pediatric epilepsy and EEG at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.

Before joining Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, he worked as a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and served as the clinical lead for the Northern Children's Epilepsy Surgery Service. He joined SKMC in 2019, where he became involved in pediatric epilepsy and epilepsy-surgery services.

His professional work also includes research and clinical presentations in pediatric epilepsy. For example, he presented the UAE experience with cannabidiol (Epidiolex) in pediatric intractable epilepsy at the European Paediatric Neurology Society (EPNS) Congress in 2023.
