Dr. Khaled Fares Al-Ali

Dr. Khaled Fares Al-Ali is Chief of the Department of Neurosurgery at Zayed Military Hospital in Abu Dhabi. His subspecialty expertise includes spine surgery, peripheral nerve surgery and pediatric neurosurgery, with particular interests in minimally invasive spinal procedures, complex trauma and advanced neurosurgical techniques.

He is among the first generation of Emirati neurosurgeons and is identified by the event as the first neurosurgeon from the UAE to obtain North American board certification. He was a founding member of the Emirates Society of Neurological Surgeons and has contributed to the development of neurosurgery in the UAE, including the introduction and advancement of minimally invasive spine surgery.

He is also an active educator and author. He has published three books covering neurosurgery, spine surgery and peripheral nerve surgery and has participated in numerous scientific and educational projects. His work additionally includes humanitarian and global neurosurgery, with more than a decade of volunteer surgical missions in conflict zones.
