Dr. Hasan Baydoun

Dr. Hasan E. Baydoun, MD, FAAOS is a US board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in shoulder surgery, sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery. He completed his medical degree at the American University of Beirut, followed by orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He then completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, working with renowned shoulder surgeon Dr. JP Warner.

Following his fellowship, Dr. Baydoun undertook an advanced shoulder reconstruction apprenticeship with Prof. Pascal Boileau and Prof. Gilles Walch in Lyon, France. He subsequently practiced in Pittsburgh, USA, before returning to Lebanon in 2016, where he helped establish the Sports Medicine Program and Sports Medicine Fellowship at the American University of Beirut. In 2021, he joined Mubadala Health/M42 in the UAE.

His clinical practice focuses particularly on shoulder reconstruction, arthroscopic surgery, shoulder arthroplasty and sports injuries. He has treated professional and elite athletes and has served as a team physician or assistant team physician for organizations including the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins.
