Dr. Elamin Ibrahim Elamin Abdelgadir is a Sudanese-trained Consultant Endocrinologist, Associate Professor of Endocrinology, academic, and medical researcher based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He is currently a Senior Specialist in Endocrinology at Dubai Hospital, Dubai Health, and an Associate Professor of Endocrinology at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU).
Dr. Abdelgadir obtained his MBBS from the International University of Africa in Sudan in 2004. He subsequently obtained a Fellowship of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK in 2010 and a Master's degree in Endocrinology from the University of Dundee, UK, in 2012.

His professional career has included positions in Sudan and the UAE. According to Dubai Health, he worked at North West Armed Forces Hospital from 2008–2011, followed by University Hospital Sharjah from 2011–2012. He joined Dubai Health/Dubai Hospital in 2012, where he continues to practice endocrinology.
His clinical and academic interests include diabetes, endocrinology, obesity, thyroid disorders, metabolic diseases, and post-bariatric complications.
Dr. Abdelgadir is an active researcher with more than 100 original articles and abstracts in endocrinology, obesity and metabolic disorders according to his 2026 professional profile. His ResearchGate profile lists 94 publications and more than 870 citations.

A recent 2026 publication in the Journal of the Endocrine Society examined chronic hypoparathyroidism in a Middle Eastern cohort, with Dr. Abdelgadir affiliated with both Dubai Hospital and MBRU.
Dr. Abdelgadir has served as Secretary General of the Sudan Diabetes Association – Gulf Chapter and has participated in numerous regional and international scientific and organizing committees.
He has also contributed to regional and international clinical guidelines, including a multi-society guideline on post-bariatric hypoglycemia. He serves as an Associate Editor for Obesity in Springer Nature journals and is an invited member of the Global NASH/MASH Council.
In 2026, he was selected as a member of the Global Metabolic Health Alliance Think Tank, contributing to initiatives involving metabolic-health research, guideline development, capacity building and policy engagement.
