Dr. Basil Nasrallah is a Consultant Pediatrician and Allergy Specialist at American Hospital Dubai. He holds dual professional qualifications from the United States and United Kingdom, including American Board of Pediatrics certification and a UK Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Pediatrics.
He earned his MBBS from Jordan University of Science and Technology and completed his pediatric residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in the United States in 2004. During his residency, he served for one year as Chief of Pediatric Residents.
In 2005, Dr. Nasrallah moved to the United Kingdom for further specialist training in pediatric allergy and respiratory diseases. He spent three years as a Specialist Registrar in the Pediatric Allergy and Respiratory Departments at the Great North Children's Hospital in Newcastle upon Tyne. He subsequently completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Allergy and Asthma from Imperial College London.
Before moving to the UAE, he worked as a Consultant Pediatrician at University Hospital of South Manchester and Wythenshawe Hospital in the UK. He later practiced in the UAE, including at Emirates Specialty Hospital, before joining American Hospital Dubai, where he currently practices as a Consultant Pediatrician and Allergy Specialist.
His clinical interests include pediatric allergy, asthma and respiratory disorders, eczema, food allergy, allergic rhinitis and immunotherapy, in addition to general pediatrics and newborn care.
