Dr. Asif Ali, MD, is a Houston-based preventive cardiologist, clinical researcher, and healthcare technology innovator. He serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine at the University of Houston and also holds an academic appointment at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. His clinical practice is with Houston Cardiology Consultants, where his work includes preventive cardiovascular care and advanced cardiovascular assessment.
Dr. Ali is also the Founder and Medical Director of the Cena Research Institute, where he focuses on inclusive clinical research and the evaluation of emerging healthcare technologies. His professional interests include cardiovascular medicine, clinical research, digital health, remote patient monitoring, artificial intelligence, cardiac rehabilitation, and health technology.
He is involved with the American Heart Association's Center for Health Technology and Innovation, including its Health Technology Advisory Group and work related to artificial intelligence and digital health.
