Dr. Ali Khamis Saif Al-Reesi, MD, FACP, FACE is an Omani Senior Consultant Endocrinologist and Diabetes Specialist based at Sohar Hospital, Ministry of Health, Oman. He is Head of the Endocrinology and Diabetes Unit and has also served as Head of the Internal Medicine Department at Sohar Hospital.
Dr. Al-Reesi has more than 18 years of clinical experience in endocrinology and diabetes. He is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Oman, and has also served as an Associate Program Director for the General Foundation Program in North Al Batinah Governorate.

Dr. Al-Reesi holds MD, FACP and FACE qualifications. He became a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) in 2019 and a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology (FACE) in 2019. He also holds a specialty certification in Endocrinology and Diabetes.
Dr. Al-Reesi is a Board Member of the Gulf Association of Endocrinology & Diabetes (GAED) and is involved in regional diabetes and endocrinology education. He has participated in and helped organize several scientific meetings and educational programs in Oman, including the GAED Congress 2023 in Muscat and diabetes/Ramadan education programs.
He has also been involved in establishing and updating diabetes clinical protocols at Sohar Hospital, including protocols for diabetic ketoacidosis, insulin therapy, perioperative glucose management, and diabetes in pregnancy.
Dr. Al-Reesi has contributed to research in diabetes and endocrinology. His publications include work on diabetic ketoacidosis, diabetes management during Ramadan, thyroid disease and endocrine complications.
In 2025, he co-authored a case report describing an unusual ACTH-producing pheochromocytoma presenting with acute coronary syndrome and diabetic ketoacidosis, published in the Journal of Diabetes and Endocrine Practice.
He also authored a 2025 article on building physicians' personal brands in the digital healthcare era, reflecting his interest in healthcare leadership and professional development.
