Dr. Abrar Ali

Prof. Dr. Abrar Ashraf Ali is a senior academic surgeon and medical educator based in Lahore, Pakistan. He serves as Professor of General Surgery at King Edward Medical University (KEMU) and is associated with the South Surgical Ward at Mayo Hospital, Lahore. His published academic credentials include FCPS, FRCS (Ed), MCPS-HPE, DCPS-HPE and FACS.

His clinical and academic work spans general surgery, surgical education, hepatobiliary disease, laparoscopic surgery, trauma and perioperative care. His research includes work in areas such as diabetic foot management, acute appendicitis, thyroid surgery and surgical outcomes.

Prof. Ali is also actively involved in medical education and surgical training. He has led hands-on training in robotic surgery and the application of artificial intelligence in surgical education, and has participated in international academic exchanges focused on hepatobiliary surgery and surgical innovation.
