Donna Ryan

Donna Ryan, MD, is Professor Emerita at Pennington Biomedical Research Center with over 25 years of leadership in clinical obesity research. An internationally recognized expert in obesity management, her work has focused on lifestyle interventions, weight-loss therapies, and advancing primary care approaches to obesity treatment through major NIH-funded studies. A former President of The Obesity Society and Past President of the World Obesity Federation, Dr. Ryan has authored more than 300 scientific publications and received numerous prestigious awards recognizing her outstanding contributions to obesity medicine and research.
