Debra Armbruster graduated from The Ohio State University in 2000 with a Masters degree, and in 2009 with a PhD. She has been an RN for 40 yrs and a nurse practitioner for 30 yrs. Debra obtained her Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certificate in 1996. She has been caring for neonates for 35 yrs, first as a bedside RN, then as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
Debra has a passion for caring for the tiniest neonatal patients to support the best outcomes for this population. Debra’s research interests include exploring the relationship of neonatal weight and length and the resulting peripherally inserted central catheter depth in neonates. She is a published author for subject matter related to neonatal peripherally inserted central catheters, preterm intrauterine exposure of illicit drugs and neonatal practice survey, care of infants born less than 28 weeks gestation, and outcomes of a neonatal radiograph quality improvement project.
