Cristina Florescu

Prof. Dr. Cristina Florescu is a Romanian cardiologist and academic physician specializing in cardiology, heart failure, echocardiography, cardiovascular prevention, and cardio-oncology. She is affiliated with the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova (UMF Craiova), Romania, where she is a Professor in the Department of Cardiology.

She graduated in Medicine from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova in 1992 and subsequently specialized in cardiology and internal medicine. She completed her doctoral studies at the same university, with a dissertation examining risk factors for dilated cardiomyopathies.

Her clinical expertise includes general echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, heart failure, cardiovascular prevention, and cardio-oncology. She has been involved extensively in cardiovascular research and has authored numerous scientific publications, including studies on cardiovascular risk factors, cardiomyopathies, heart failure, and advanced cardiac imaging.
