Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Drammen Hospital
Bente Silnes Tandberg, RN, MscN, PhD, is a clinical nurse and researcher at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Drammen Hospital, Vestre Viken Hospital Trust, Norway. She holds a PhD on Single-Family Room Care and is an associate professor in Advanced Clinical Neonatal Nursing at Lovisenberg Diaconal University College. With 20 years of experience in neonatal intensive care, both clinically and in research, she is part of the SCENE (Separation and Closeness Experiences in the Neonatal Environment) research network, which focuses on promoting parent-infant closeness during neonatal care. She is also a member of the Topic Expert Group on NICU design under EFCNI (European Foundation for the Care of Newborn Infants), which develops standards for family-centred neonatal care. Her research interests include Family-Centered Care, Single-Family Room Design, infant growth, feeding, and breastfeeding. Currently, she co-supervises four PhD studies.
