Dr. Abeer A. Khoja, MD is a Saudi Consultant Neurologist and Epileptologist based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She is affiliated with the Department of Neurology, Faculty of Medicine, King Abdulaziz University, and King Abdulaziz University Hospital. She has specialized expertise in epilepsy, EEG and clinical neurophysiology, with particular experience in complex and drug-resistant epilepsy.

Dr. Khoja has contributed to research on advanced epilepsy diagnosis and treatment, particularly the use of intracranial EEG to distinguish different forms of temporal-lobe epilepsy.
In 2021, she was the lead author of a study published in Neurosciences (Riyadh) examining seizure semiology in temporal-lobe epilepsy versus temporal-plus epilepsy using intracranial EEG monitoring. The research drew on experience from King Abdulaziz University Hospital and King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre.
She has also contributed to research investigating the quality of life of patients with epilepsy in Jeddah, published in Cureus in 2022.
Her research involvement has included studies of drug-resistant focal epilepsy and peri-ictal headache, with King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre's research program identifying her as a co-investigator.
More recently, she has participated in research evaluating artificial intelligence for automated EEG analysis, reflecting emerging applications of AI in epilepsy diagnosis and clinical neurophysiology.
Dr. Khoja has participated as faculty in Saudi neurological education programs. She was listed as a faculty member of the Jeddah Neurology Board Review Course, where she was identified as an Assistant Professor of Neurology, Adult Neurologist and Epileptologist/EEG specialist.
She has also served as a faculty member at epilepsy-focused scientific meetings.
