This 5-day online diploma program, offered by the University of Schleswig-Holstein, provides comprehensive training in urogynecology and pelvic floor reconstruction for gynecologists, urologists, and pelvic floor specialists through live interactive sessions and video demonstrations.
The Diploma in Urogynecology and Pelvic Floor Reconstruction is a five-day live online medical education programme conducted from November 4–8, 2026. The programme is designed for practicing gynecologists, urogynecologists, urologists, and pelvic floor specialists seeking structured, evidence-based, and clinically relevant training in the assessment and management of female pelvic floor disorders. The course combines expert-led lectures, explanatory slides, surgical and procedural videos, interactive discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and formal evaluation. Faculty members from Germany, India, Pakistan, and the UAE contribute to the programme, providing an international perspective on contemporary urogynecological practice. The foundational component covers urodynamics and bladder management, pelvic floor rehabilitation, and systematic assessment of pelvic organ prolapse using the POP-Q system. Participants will review principles of urodynamics and approaches to overactive bladder, alongside non-surgical pelvic floor rehabilitation techniques such as biofeedback therapy. The programme then progresses to surgical management of pelvic floor disorders, including approaches to stress urinary incontinence, sling procedures, colposuspension, and management of failed previous surgery. Participants will also examine apical and vault prolapse repair, laparoscopic approaches, minimally invasive procedures, robotic sacrocolpopexy, and techniques for maintaining ureteral safety during pelvic surgery. Advanced sessions address Botox treatment and neuromodulation for urinary urge incontinence and overactive bladder, as well as the management of obstetric perineal tears and rectovaginal fistulas. The programme also covers patient selection for different urogynecological procedures, sling selection, single-incision techniques, and urethral bulking agents. A strong emphasis is placed on clinical applicability. Participants can review descriptive procedure videos and engage directly with faculty during query-clearance sessions. The course also provides access to session recordings for 30 days after the programme, allowing participants to revisit the educational material. Upon completion of the required programme components and evaluation examination, participants receive an official Diploma Certificate issued by Universitätsklinikum Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH), Kiel, Germany. Overall, the programme provides structured advanced education in female pelvic health, urogynecological diagnosis, pelvic floor rehabilitation, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, minimally invasive reconstruction, and management of complex pelvic floor complications.
