Basic Life Support (BLS) Training is a hands-on course designed to develop essential life-saving skills for responding to cardiac and other life-threatening emergencies. Participants learn high-quality CPR, AED use, rescue breathing, choking management, and effective team-based resuscitation.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Training is a practical healthcare training programme designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills required to recognize and respond effectively to life-threatening emergencies. Conducted by International Business Consult (IBC) Training Center in Dubai, the course follows internationally recognized resuscitation principles and provides participants with hands-on opportunities to practice essential emergency response techniques. The course focuses on the chain of survival, early recognition of emergencies, high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and early defibrillation. Participants learn how to assess emergency situations, initiate appropriate response procedures, and perform effective chest compressions and rescue breathing for adults, children, and infants. A major component of the training is the correct use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Participants are introduced to AED operation and the appropriate steps for using the device during cardiac emergencies. The course also addresses recovery positioning and other essential measures that support patient safety while awaiting further medical assistance. The programme also covers airway obstruction and choking emergencies, including appropriate techniques for assisting conscious and unconscious patients. Participants develop practical skills that can be applied in a range of emergency situations. Team-based resuscitation is another important component of the programme. Participants practice effective communication and coordination during multi-rescuer CPR, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and clearly defined roles during emergency response. The training uses real-time practice scenarios and hands-on skills sessions to reinforce learning and help participants develop confidence in performing life-saving procedures. The course is structured to support both healthcare professionals and other eligible participants who require fundamental life-support training. The course is intended for medical professionals from different disciplines, including doctors, nurses, technicians, and paramedics. Successful participants receive a certificate and wallet card, with the official IBC material stating that the wallet card is valid for two years. The programme offers 3.5 CME credits through the Dubai Health Authority and is identified as American Heart Association approved, providing participants with recognized continuing medical education alongside practical emergency-response training.
